IPL 2019: RCB vs DC – Six straight losses for RCB

The 20th match of the IPL 2019  played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangaluru, Karnataka.

Virat Kohli led the RCB while Shreyas Iyer led the DC.

Earlier, RCB played five matches in the IPL 2019 and failed to register even a single win. On the other hand, DC played four matches and won two of them.

After today’s loss:

RCB simply can’t win. Kohli scored a scratchy uncharacteristic 41 and still top-scored as his side scrapped to 149 in their allotted 20 overs when asked to bat first. Kohli mentioned later, ‘When the mind is cluttered you wouldn’t be focused on the chances that come your way.’

RCB bowled well starting with a wicket in the first over and a dropped chance. The batsman who benefited from the chance – Iyer – ended up making all the difference with his well timed 50-ball 67.

Prithvi Shaw also played an entertaining cameo and Ingram and Pant chipped in with a few runs to ensure DC had smooth sailing for most parts of it. Towards the end of the chase, as has been the case for DC, they lost a flurry of wickets but managed to get over the line without losing a lot of sweat.

Hereinafter, it will be huge task for RCB to get into the top four. They need just one more loss to be relegated out of the top four.
