BJP-Shiv Sena’s consensus on seats
After nearly a year, the Bharatiya Janata Party and its oldest political allay, Shiv Sena, have again become friends. In the wake of Lok Sabha election 2019, seat sharing have been settled by both the parties. On Monday, after the long meeting of BJP president Amit Shah and Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray, the final seal took place on this. Both leaders are now holding a shared press conference. CM Devendra Fananvis is also present.
While the Shiv Sena will fight on 23 seats, the BJP will contest on 25 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
‘The two came together respecting the gesture, theoretically both are Hindus’ : Devendra Fananvis
BJP President Amit Shah met Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Monday in Mumbai. There was a discussion on the Lok Sabha seat sharing on the upcoming general election between the two. Even though the Shivsena came out from the outside, the BJP and PM were speaking daily on Narendra Modi’s attack, but talks were continuing in both the parties. Prashant Kishore recently met Uddhav Thackeray.
BJP-Shiv Sena effect of friendship
Between the enthusiastic Lok Sabha elections, friendship between the BJP-Shiv Sena can spoil the rest of the game. If the two parties fight together in Maharashtra then the fight for Congress and other parties can be difficult. In the recent by-election, Shiv Sena had fought a different election. The Shiv Sena was also targeting BJP and Narendra Modi through the day-to-day encounter. In view of this, there was a conspiracy to go to Shiv Sena’s opposition camp in the Lok Sabha elections.
