Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma has again stoked the controversy over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s educational qualification.
On Tuesday (January 29), PM Modi interacted with 2,000 students, parents and teachers in the second edition of “Pariksha Par Charcha 2.0” in Delhi.
While responding to PM Modi’s speech, Sharma said, “There are serious questions over the authenticity of PM Modi’s degree and he is trying to teach the students.”
“The universities ignore RTI queries. Students should not listen to him as he himself has not passed,” Sharma said.
Apart from attacking Modi, Anand Sharma also raised several questions on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, founder-leader of Bharatiya Jana Sangh (forerunner of BJP).
“Who was Deendayal Upadhyaya? Why do the BJP government observe his anniversary? What was his contribution?” asked the Congress leader.
He stated that the birth or death anniversary of Indira Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru were never observed by the Modi-led BJP government.
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya was born on September 25 in 1916 in Mathura and was an RSS pracharak.
