Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurates Development Projects in Bihar, Jharkhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a tour of Bihar and Jharkhand on Sunday. He addressed rallies at Barauni in Bihar, and at Hazaribagh in Jharkhand.

The Prime Minister today dedicated projects worth over Rs 33 thousand crores to Bihar. The PM also laid the foundation stone of Patna Metro with remote control in Barauni. It will cost Rs 13,365 crores.

The Prime Minister said, ‘Our government’s development journey is going on simultaneously on two tracks. Provision of infrastructure related projects, industrial development and modern facilities to the people, and to make better the lives of those deprived, exploited, victims who had been struggling for basic facilities for the past 70 years.

“Today a number of projects worth thousands of crores have been inaugurated. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha are connected with the gas pipeline through the Prime Minister Energy Ganga Scheme. Gas will be available to the Fertilizer factory, which is being restarted in Barauni from Energy Ganga project. The task of delivering gas through pipes will be done in Patna, trains will run on CNG and thousands of families will now get piped gas.

I congratulate the people of Patna because Pataliputra is now going to have the metro rail. This project of 13 thousand crores is being developed keeping in view the needs of the future. These include plans for making a smart Patna city, industrial development of Bihar and employment to youth.

During the occasion, Governor Lalji Tandon, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Union Minister Ramvilas Paswan, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Giriraj Singh, R.K. Singh, Ramkripal Yadav and Ashwini Kumar Choubey were present.

The Prime Minister inaugurated about a dozen projects in Barauni. Among those projects that were dedicated to the nation include: the capacity expansion of Barauni refinery, extension of Jagdishpur-Haldia gas pipeline, city gas distribution, urban development, railways and plans to develop river river front.

On the Pulwama attack, Modi said that the fire which is in your heart is the same fire in my heart. Modi started the speech with Maithili He said that we pay homage to the martyrs of Patna and Bhagalpur who sacrificed their lives for the country. I express my condolences with their family members. I am feeling that there is so much fire in the heart of your countrymen. The fire that is in your heart is the same fire in my heart. Bihar’s Sanjay Sinha and Ratan Thakur have been martyred in Pulwama attack.

PM in Jharkhand

On his arrival, the Prime Minister Modi said, ‘I have come to accelerate the development of this state.’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for several development schemes in Hazaribagh.

The PM Modi inaugurated the medical college building in Hazaribagh. He also inaugurated medical college buildings in Dumka and Palamu in Jharkhand.

He handed the keys to the houses of the Prime Minister Housing Scheme in Hazaribagh for the beneficiaries of their houses.

During this address, Prime Minister Modi paid tribute to the martyrs of Pulwama and said that he stood by their families in this hour of grief.

The PM said that once again I pay tribute to the martyr Vijay Soren of this soil, who was martyred in the Pulwama attack. I bow to his family in Gumla. He said that he is proud of the children of martyrs who are bravely facing the situation in this difficult time.
